55th Anniversary Dormitory

To apply for housing at the 55th Anniversary Dormitory, you must complete the room request form and submit it. All requests related to room requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Once FON CMU has received your room request application, we will review the request and let you know the status of your application via your provided email.

This is a newly built dorm located on the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University campus. The dorm is conveniently located by several canteens, shops, and convenience stores. The rooms available in this dorm are single or double rooms with private bathrooms.

There is a common room on each floor where students are able to keep their food and study. There are onsite laundry machines and purified water available for additional charges.

Provided Items

It is a good idea to check with your roommate about the items they are planning to bring. There is often not a lot of space, so it is suggested that some items are shared.

Each room comes with some basic items for each student:

  • Desk with overhead storage

  • Desk chair with seating pad

  • A twin-size mattress with bed frame

  • One set of bedsheets to include a blanket, bed sheet, mattress pad, pillow, pillowcase

  • Outside table with two chairs

  • Two curtains (one sheer and one solid)

  • One air conditioning unit with one remote

  • One mirror

  • One tall cabinet with hanging space and drawers

  • One bedside table

  • One bath towel, one hair towel, one hand towel, one bathmat

  • One shoe rack

Since you will be traveling to Thailand, it may be difficult to bring some of the items you would like in your dorm room. We suggest you think carefully about what you are able to buy once you have arrived. There are many stores in the area of the dorm, where you will be able to buy other items for your dorm room.

Water

It is recommended that you do not drink the tap water in Thailand. It is safe to use for showering and brushing your teeth. On the ground floor of the dorm, there is a machine with purified water. You will need to provide your own bottle for the water. The cost of the water is minimal. You are also welcome to buy bottled water at the grocery store or local convenience store.
